For Your Money:
The Spirit of Gin Tour and Tasting at East London Liquor Company is a journey through the world of gin, taking in its questionable past and crafty present. You’ll be given a G&T upon arrival, whereupon you’ll be whisked away to the distillery to see the ins and outs of modern day making.
Then you’ll head over to the maturation room for a spirits tasting, which begins with the ELLC range before moving onto a tasting of some contrasting gins.
A few thoughts from Gin Foundry:
If you are not entirely convinced to book onto a tour, our advice would be to simply go to ELLC in the early evening and head to the bar. As a venue, it’s a cool space making tasty cocktails and from the bar you can see the stills and, at least get a feel for what they do. The tours are more than worthwhile, but the fact that you can go and enjoy great spirits in a cool environment is a great “next best thing” for those still hovering on the fence.
